Yep, you read that right. Pick an awesome name for my van, and you get $15 deposited directly into your Paypal account!

You may have seen my other journal on this topic... or you might have missed it. Either way, this is my van:
upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia… www.usaraud.ee/ajuvant/pontiac…

I know lots of people think it's ugly (for some reason that I can't understand), but I think it's the coolest thing to ever roll out of Detroit! It happens to be my dream car, and I wouldn't trade it for either of my other dream cars (a 1982 Pontiac TransAm modified to be like KITT from the old "Knight Rider," or a DeLorean outfitted with all the "Back to the Future" time machine gear). But I really need a name for it! And no matter what I come up with personally, even if it's something awesome, I will always hate it because it was a word I came up with. That's just how my brain works...

So, I need your help, and I'm willing to pay you for it! I'm looking for a cool, space-y name that suits my van, which already looks like something that belongs in outer space. The name doesn't even have to be a real word - just something space-y. Think of what you'd name a Star Wars ship, if that helps. Something that's easy to say, and sounds cool. A name where people hear it, and immediately think "Oh wow, that's really exotic and space-y." I know I keep saying "space-y," but I'm not sure I can emphasize it enough!

Whoever comes up with the name I like most, receives $15. Simple as that! :D

Name my van!

Hi everyone!! Check out this awesome and hilarious commercial for the 90's Pontiac TransSport minivan! It's the SPACE VEHICLE of the 90's!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=scZMfE…

RIDE, TRANS SPORT, RIIIIDE!!!

I'm a proud owner of that van (mine is even white!), and it's been my dream car longer than any other car I've been attracted to. It's one of the coolest-looking vehicles to ever roll out of Detroit! It's like my "Corvette," except unlike most guys who will have to sell their Corvette and trade it in for a minivan when they get married, I won't have to! Because my "Corvette" already IS a minivan!! Mwahahaha!! :headbang:

Anyway, I need to name my "space vehicle," and as anyone who knows me knows, I can't name things. I'm horrible at it! All I could come up with is "Early-90's-Power-Ballad-mobile." Thankfully however, all of you, my friends, are extremely creative and awesome people who I'm SURE can name a cool "Space Vehicle of the 90's." So let me hear what you've got! Whoever comes up with the best name will win a drawing from me (that I PROMISE) I'll come through on!

Wow, it's been a while since I was tagged! :icondinogaby:Dinogaby  tagged me with the following questions, and here are my answers!

1. What is your dream job?
A. Professional filmmaker.
2. What are 5 things you want to do at some point in your life before you die?
A. Drive a steam locomotive, fly into space, fire an energy weapon (with a visible beam), fire a minigun, and last but certainly not least, kiss a girl. To date I have done none of these things...
3. What is your favorite animal?
A. Triceratops!
4. How would you define yourself?
A. Sci-fi fan with a great sense of humour and adventure.
5. If you had to eat only one type food during a whole month, what would it be?
A. Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets. :D
6. Do you have any pets?
A. My family has always had a cat in the house, so yes! Cats are the best.
7. Would you ever try skydiving?
A. NO!!!
8. Do you believe in having a healthy lifestyle?
A. Of course! Especially if "healthy lifestyle" means "living a moral life."
9. Which websites do you visit the most?
A. Hotmail (for email), Trekmovie.com (for Star Trek and sci-fi/entertainment news), Cracked.com (for laughs) and DeviantArt (for fun!).
10. Do you like to travel?
A. Of course!

I should probably tag some people (I'm supposed to tag ten), but I think I'll make this voluntary. If you decide to go for it, here are MY ten questions for you:

1. What's your favorite movie genre?
2. What's your favorite kind of railroad locomotive?
3. What are your top three favorite movies, and why?
4. Do you like the original Star Trek TV show (the one with Captain Kirk)?
5. Have you ever been to a traditional Tridentine Mass in Latin?
6. What's your favorite dinosaur? :XD:
7. Who's your favorite movie bad guy of all time, and why?
8. If you could choose one cross-over to be made into a movie, what would it be a cross-over of? (For example, I'd love to see the old Star Wars and the old Star Trek combined).
9. Do you prefer drawing living subjects or mechanical contraptions?
10. Which is cooler: laser guns or normal guns?

...if I owe you a sketch! Please tell me if, at some point in the distant past, I promised you a sketch that never came, so I can know to sketch it for you!

All I can say is, I'm extremely sorry to all the people who I promised pictures, but never actually got around to doing them. I'm sure most of you can relate to that, but some people (*cough*lubyelfears*cough*) are amazing and always do incredible full-color prints for all her friends in like, an hour or something. Unfortunately I'm not like her, and I can't color to save my life, but...let me know if I said I'd draw something for you, so I can finally do it!

I can't use college as an excuse anymore! :XD:

I graduated from Penn State this year, at the end of the spring semester. I hated the school, I hated how it was run, and I hated how football seemed to be the primary concern, while their academics were in shambles.

Maybe now they'll think about putting a fresh coat of paint on the dorm walls, since those dorms haven't seen any real renovation since the 70's. Maybe they'll care about the other students and not treat the football players like kings. Maybe this will start a chain reaction that completely wipes the whole genre of college football of the face of the Earth! That would be nice. Schools would be forced to actually pay attention to their academics, and the quality of the American university education would improve.

Their poor handling of this situation should show how wrong it is for an institution of higher learning to put a mindless sport on a pedestal. ACADEMICS should be important, not a bunch of big goofs tossing a ball back and forth. Coaches aren't gods, and football shouldn't be the main concern at a school.

I can only laugh with glee that the former and useless president Graham Spanier is also gone. And I'm sure glad I don't go there anymore! I got out just before all this heavy stuff went down. Whew!
