I'm particularly proud of this one!! When designing this one, I tried to keep the idea "rolling concentration camp" in my mind. Listening to the Dalek Theme from the Doctor Who Original Television Soundtrack helped, too!!
Unlike my Soviet Cyberman, this one has more of a backstory. After the events of the Third Series Doctor Who episode "Daleks in Manhattan," the people of Hooverville took the destroyed husks of Daleks Thay and Jast, along with the human Dalek blasters, and buried them deep inside the sewers. They were forgotten about.
However, the "failed" Dalek embryos created by the Cult of Skaro were not so "failed" after all; they were able to grow into adult Daleks, and using the technology available to them, built new Dalek suits using the husks of Thay and Jast as templates. It took many years to rebuild, but they were able to make more Dalek creatures and more suits.
After this time of building their forces, the Daleks were prepared to go out and conquer Earth. Before they did so, however, World War II broke out. The Daleks realized that their mission of conquest would be made much easier if they allied themselves with the Nazis, who had a similar goal of world conquest. After helping the Nazis take over the world, they would turn on their German allies and take the conquered world from them.
I had fun putting the Nazi signage on the Dalek; all the symbols were inspired by what I've seen on Nazi uniforms and helmets. The lettering on its base says "Caution - Jet Blast," as these Daleks are able to fly (unlike my steampunk version). The rear propeller, used to push it forward through the air while airborne, has the "cross" of the Nazi Air Force on it.
Oh, and the speech balloon reads, "Exterminate those who oppose the will of Hitler." In German, of course, written in the "Dalek font" that I downloaded from 1001fonts.com.
Also, just to be clear, I DO NOT support the Nazis OR their evil ideals.
Sweet! All the acoutrements really complement the sinister Nazi-esque style of the Dalek. Maybe you could draw Davros wearing the uniform of a high-ranking SS officer.

Hilarious?? Well, at least she would have enjoyed it...but I prefer to think of it more as "scary" or "cool."

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

It's not that I don't like communists. I just don't like them near me.
