A while ago challenged me to draw a steampunk version of the Battlestar Galactica, from the classic 1980's era television show. It took me a while, but here it is!!
I didn't really add a lot of detail (that's the nature of a "rough sketch" ), but it was actually pretty easy to "steampunk" its design. The front part made for a PERFECT place to modify into a bow of a regular ship, and I just slapped a few Titanic-esque smokestacks on it. Yes, I know the Titanic is from the Edwardian rather than Victorian era, but still...it's close enough!!
I actually think that the steampunked design of the BSG here looks better than the other steampunk spaceship designs I've seen, which are little more than sea ships (complete with keel designed for water) with rocket engines on them. There's no water in space so I can't see people designing it for such...but a prow like the one I gave isn't that bad, it's just an end to look reasonably ship-like.
Probably move to scraps after a few views...maybe not.
I must say that this is quite an impressive alternative for high-tech & high-end space machine..... Maybe after some time you can draw new design for this one?

But before I go drawing another version of it, I should probably finish this picture (it's not done!).
